I'm pretty much a newbie on this site thus I'm not so sure as to which catehgory I should get this problem I'm havng posted, but nonetheless here it is. We have a pre-pord and a prod environment for our organization. The servers run on Windows 2008 R2 standard (x64) SP1. One of our users requested that we create a site, where he can upload an Excel file using a module created in ASP. The site has been created on both pre-prod (ex. http://company1-test.net) and prod (ex. http://company1.net) but the main problem now is that, I am able to upload the Excel file in the pre-prod site , and data from it actually shows up in the back-end SQL DB, but the same thing cannot be said for the prod server site.
I have already provided the same set of permissions for the Webroot folders and its relevant subdirectories but to no avail. I usually get a pop-up window stating that "records have been updated successfully" whenever I upload the said Excel file in the pre-prod site, but I am not getting the same thing on the prod site, though no errors show up either on the IIS logs nor on the DB side. The developer mentioned that they only use MDAC drivers to interface with the Excel files (it's on .xls only by the way) but I'm running out of things to check.
