Simple editing

Hi,

First off apologies as I'm sure there's relevant content in the iis.net Learn section that I'm just not finding... plus, no dount this post will result in a lot of groans of "noob" etc!

We have an iis 7.5 (native i.e. Server 2008R2) site running quite a few sites, and this afternoon my boss said "could I have a kind of intranet somewhere that I can edit?" so I thought this was the ideal candidate. And it is, I got a web page up and runninng in minutes.

Now's the "tricky" part! I know Word (I've just gone to 2013) can edit web pages except that... it can't. IE will let me open the page in Word (requires 3 x authentication boxes which is weird) but it opens, except in read only mode.

Any ideas? NTFS permissions are right... I've tried creating a full access WebDAV rule for my user, but still it comes up read only. I've quite happily configured WebDAV on iis 7.5 (different server) for folder access and it works fine, it's just being unable to edit the actual web page content that's got me stumped.

I'd be really grateful for any help as I'm sure it's something daft I'm missing, but I don't know whether to start at the point of the site being misconfigured or whether Word isn't trusting the document as it's an "internet" document etc.

Rhidian
