Issue In Configuring Host Name for local IIS Site

Hi Friends,

I am having a Windows 7 Machine running IIS 7.  In my IIS7 I have created a web site.  I created a host name for the web site by following the below steps.

1.   Given Binding
                 Type: http
                 IP : UnAssigned
                 Port : 80
                 Host Name : local.reports.com

2.    Edited c:\Windows\Stystem32\drivers\etc\host file and added entry for this Host Name as  127.0.0.1   local.reports.com

But I am not able to access the site as http://local.reports.com.  I get the error message below.

-------------------
Unknown Host
Description: Unable to locate the server named "local.reports.com" --- the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.
---------------

If i change the port number in bindings, then i am able to access the site as http://machinname:81.

Is there anything that I have missed in the step for giving the host name.

Thanks,
Stan
