Classic asp won't go away

I was testing a classic asp site on localhost (Default Web Site) but now I've scrapped it as it is no longer needed. A published a new asp.net site I am working on to the Default Web Site folder, however when I go to 'localhost' in the browser, it tries to load index.asp which isn't even in the default documents list. How do I turn off whatever it is that makes it think it's a classic asp site? Cheers Mark
